Flanged swing check valves have a body, cover and disc made of carbon steel and welded sealing seat and are used for non-aggressive working media (water, steam, oil, gasoline, natural gas, etc.). They are mounted with the arrow on the body downstream to the horizontal piping, where the valve must always be with the cover up. These swing check valves can also be mounted in vertical pipes but the flow direction must be from bottom to top.
